Dr. Bijan Vasig is a professor of economics and finance at Embry—Riddle Aeronautical University, USA, and one of the leading experts in the field of aviation finance. His professional activity covers the theoretical and applied aspects of financial modeling and tools in the transportation industry. He is the author of a number of key textbooks on aviation economics and finance, including An Introduction to Air Transport Economics, Foundations of Airline Finance, and Aircraft Finance.
Dr. Vasin actively cooperates with international organizations such as the ICAO, IATA Learning Center, NASA, and other government and international agencies. His research focuses on assessing the economic effects of aviation systems and managing airline capital expenditures. As a recognized expert, he regularly appears in the world’s leading media, including The Washington Post, Forbes, Bloomberg and The Guardian.
Vitaly S. Guzhva, Ph.D., CFA

Dr. Guzhva is a Professor of Finance at David B. O’Maley College of Business of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he teaches Airline Finance, Asset Valuation, and Aircraft Leasing and Financing courses.
Dr. Guzhva is an experienced pilot with over 5,000 flight hours in multiengine jet aircraft. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with a Machinery and Technical Specialties/Aircraft designation, an ISTAT Certified Appraiser, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Dr. Guzhva’s interviews on various aviation finance and economics topics often appear in the national business and aerospace press. His applied research and consulting projects included industry assessments and market analyses for major aircraft manufacturers, monetization strategies for aircraft surveillance data, benefit-cost analyses of operational improvements for Air Transport Management systems, evaluations of major investments in aviation infrastructure, fleet modernization strategies, and other projects.
